FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
everything you need to know
HOW LONG DOES AN OVEN CLEAN TAKE?
Most single and double oven cleans take between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. Range cookers and AGAs take longer depending on the model and condition. We'll give you a more accurate estimate when you book.
DO I NEED TO BE AT HOME DURING THE SERVICE?
Yes, we'll need access to your kitchen throughout the clean. You don't need to supervise us, but someone over 18 should be present on the property.
WHAT CHEMICALS DO YOU USE AND ARE THEY SAFE?
We use a non-caustic, fume-free gel solution inside your oven cavity, safe for use in your home and around your family. The heavy-duty cleaning happens outside in our van's dip tank, so no harsh chemicals are ever used inside your property.
CAN YOU CLEAN AN AGA OR RANGE COOKER?
Yes. Range cookers are included in our standard service. AGAs and Rayburns are specialist appliances, please contact us directly for a quote as pricing varies by model and condition.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU CLEAN YOUR OVEN?
For a typical household, a professional clean once a year is usually sufficient. If you cook frequently or have recently had a spillage, every six to nine months is worth considering. Regular cleaning also extends the life of your oven.
HOW DOES 'DIP-TANK' CLEANING WORK?
Removable parts — racks, trays, and fittings — are taken to our van and submerged in a professional heated dip tank. The solution breaks down grease and carbon deposits thoroughly and safely. The parts are then rinsed, dried, and reassembled by hand. It produces results that sprays and domestic products simply can't match.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Every clean includes the full oven cavity, door glass inside and out, and all removable racks and trays cleaned via dip tank. Hobs and extractor fans are available as add-ons when booked alongside an oven clean. Door seals are excluded, they're delicate and we won't risk damaging them.
